Innovation Norway was established in Delhi in August 2005 and is
located in the Royal Norwegian Embassy. Presently it is set up with 4
local market advisors headed by the Commercial Counsellor who is the
director of Innovation Norway in India. Innovation Norway India has
an important role in assisting Norwegian companies to enter and
operate in the Indian market. It is also assisting Norwegian SMEs
through Norad sponsored Business Matchmaking Programme. The
priority sectors are Energy & Environment, Maritime, ICT and Oil and
Gas.
Innovation Norway has a strong network in the Indian business
society, both in the public and private environment. It has personnel
and contacts with in-depth competence in the abovementioned sector.
In India our office has a mixture of Indian and Norwegian employees
understanding both countries’ business culture. Therefore, we are able
to transform information from the market for practical business use.
