SPLASH-TIVITIES<br />

NOVICE TEAM INFORMATION<br />

Water activities for children<br />

and teens (ages 7-17)<br />

Participate in novice competitive swimming, diving,<br />

synchronized swimming and water polo. If you<br />

don’t know how to play these sports, don’t worry<br />

– we’ll teach you! This program is <strong>of</strong>fered at each<br />

city swimming pool and it begins the week <strong>of</strong> June<br />

17. Only $25 for eight full weeks <strong>of</strong> summer fun!<br />

Splash Synchronized Swimming<br />

Our synchronized swimming program combines<br />

instruction for beginner and advanced level<br />

participants with dance, acrobatics and swimming.<br />

Figure meets and shows are held throughout the<br />

summer.<br />

Splash Diving<br />

Beginning and intermediate class for youth who<br />

are comfortable in deep water. Beginning dives are<br />

introduced including hurdle, pike and tuck dives.<br />

Dive meets are held throughout the summer.<br />

Splash Competitive Swimming<br />

For novice level swimmers that want to participate<br />

in a summer-long swim team. This program teaches<br />

all competitive strokes in a coach taught setting.<br />

Swim meets are held throughout the summer.<br />

Splash Water Polo<br />

Beginning class for youth who are comfortable<br />

in deep water. Learn the basics <strong>of</strong> this fun and<br />

interactive water sport. Tournaments are held<br />

throughout the summer.<br />

Forming Leisure Opportunities<br />

using Aquatic Techniques (FLOAT)<br />

FLOAT is an adaptive aquatic program for people<br />

with and without disabilities. Call Cindy Moyes,<br />

(702) 229-4902, for information on the following<br />

programs: basic paddling skills, adaptive water<br />

skiing, canoe trips and one-on-one swim lessons.<br />

SPLASH SPECIAL EVENTS<br />

Fiesta Day!<br />

Bring the entire family to start <strong>of</strong>f the summer with<br />

a bang. Latin music, food and beverages will make<br />

this celebration muy caliente. Receive information<br />

about swim lessons, youth swim teams and party<br />

rentals. Fun for all!<br />

Dash and Splash<br />

Back by popular demand! Want some action<br />

this summer Event will start with a 1.5-mile run<br />

beginning at Pavilion Center Pool and winding<br />

through Veterans Memorial Park. Race will conclude<br />

with a 300-meter swim at Pavilion Center Pool.<br />

There is no age limit, but participants must be<br />

able to swim 100 meters successfully. Do one or<br />

do them all!<br />

School’s Out <strong>Summer</strong> Splash Party<br />

School’s finally out and we want to celebrate with<br />

you! We’re throwing all <strong>of</strong> our splash toys in the<br />

pool. Join us for swimming, games, dancing, treats,<br />

prizes and we’ll even play music!<br />

Dear Ol’ Dad’s Day<br />

Don’t forget dear ‘ol dad on Fathers Day. He’ll<br />

receive free admission to recreation swim when<br />

accompanied by his child.<br />

daily rate, father is free<br />

Dive In Movie Night!<br />

Take a dip in the pool, lounge on a raft or lounge<br />

in a deck chair while watching a movie on the big<br />

screen. Light refreshments will be provided for a<br />

small fee. All pool rules apply.<br />

It’s our annual tropical adventure! Dancing,<br />

swimming, games and a DJ playing live music.<br />

SPIRIT SPLASH NIGHT<br />

All participants in our recreational competitive<br />

programs will have a night <strong>of</strong> fun, motivation<br />

and a wrap up <strong>of</strong> the summer.<br />

All-<strong>City</strong> Synchronized<br />

Swimming Show – Where THE<br />

WILD THINGS ARE<br />

Come see synchronized swimming teams from<br />

the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong>, Clark County, and the city <strong>of</strong><br />

Henderson aquatic departments show <strong>of</strong>f their<br />

animal instincts. Teams have worked all summer<br />

long, so come and show your support. It’s FREE<br />

to attend!<br />
