BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS<br />
Do you have an interest to become more involved in your community<br />
The Department <strong>of</strong> Parks, <strong>Recreation</strong> and<br />
Neighborhood Services hosts several<br />
boards and commissions and we are<br />
always looking for enthusiastic volunteers.<br />
Parks and <strong>Recreation</strong> Advisory Commission<br />
• Makes recommendations on matters<br />
pertaining to public parks and public<br />
recreation<br />
• Meets on first Tuesday <strong>of</strong> every month at<br />
4 p.m.<br />
Neighborhood Partners Fund Board<br />
• Reviews Neighborhood Partners Fund<br />
applications and recommends awards to<br />
the <strong>City</strong> Council<br />
Senior Citizens Advisory Board<br />
• The Senior Citizens Advisory Board acts in<br />
an advisory capacity on matters pertaining<br />
to the senior community.<br />
• Meets on the first Thursday <strong>of</strong> every month<br />
at 1 p.m.<br />
Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership<br />
Program Grant Review Board (YNAPP)<br />
• Reviews Youth Neighborhood Association<br />
Partnership Program Grants and recommends<br />
awards to the <strong>City</strong> Council<br />
How To Get Appointed: Send a letter and resume<br />
along with a completed interest form* to the <strong>City</strong><br />
Clerk. Based on the submittal, citizens will be<br />
considered by the <strong>City</strong> Council when a vacancy occurs<br />
on the board in which they have an interest or<br />
particular expertise. <strong>City</strong> residency may be required.<br />
