AT TULE SPRINGS<br />

Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs is located<br />

approximately 15 miles from downtown<br />

in northwest <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong>, near U.S. 95 and<br />

Durango Drive.<br />

<strong>Summer</strong> months (May-September)<br />

8 a.m.- 8 p.m.<br />

Winter months (October-April)<br />

9 a.m.- 5 p.m.<br />

NATIONAL REGISTER<br />

OF HISTORIC PLACES<br />

The Floyd Lamb Park Master Plan was<br />

adopted by <strong>City</strong> Council in April 2007,<br />

after which the Historic Preservation<br />

Commission requested that the property<br />

be reviewed for eligibility to the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Las</strong><br />

<strong>Vegas</strong> Historic Property Register. It was<br />

added to the local register in January 2008.<br />

The park was listed on the National Register<br />

<strong>of</strong> Historic Places in 1981.<br />

LAS VEGAS FARMERS<br />

MARKET<br />

On the first and third Saturday <strong>of</strong> every<br />

month, join us by the Foreman’s House at<br />

Floyd Lamb Park for the <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> Farmers<br />

Market where you can stock up on farm<br />

fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade baked<br />

breads, hand crafted items and more!<br />

Market dates: First and third Saturday <strong>of</strong><br />

the month<br />

Hours: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.<br />

Park Admission: Free during market<br />

hours.<br />

BIRD WALKS<br />

Floyd Lamb Park is home to a wide variety<br />

<strong>of</strong> native and migratory birds. On the<br />

third Saturday <strong>of</strong> each month, join local<br />

Audubon Society representatives at Area<br />

5 for an introduction to birding activity<br />

geared toward beginners. Bring water,<br />

snacks and a friend. All ages welcome.<br />

Dates: Third Saturday <strong>of</strong> the month<br />

Time: 8-10 a.m.<br />

Cost: Free<br />

FISHING ACTIVITIES<br />

The Nevada Department <strong>of</strong> Wildlife<br />

<strong>of</strong>fers regular beginner and youth fishing<br />

clinics at Floyd Lamb Park lake.<br />

NEVADA DIVISION OF<br />

FORESTRY<br />

The Nevada Division <strong>of</strong> Forestry <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong><br />

State Tree Nursery, located at the back <strong>of</strong><br />

Floyd Lamb Park, is open to the public<br />

year round. The nursery produces low-cost<br />

native and desert adapted plants suitable<br />

for conservation purposes including<br />

erosion control, water conservation, windbreaks,<br />

wildlife habitat and rehabilitation<br />

<strong>of</strong> wildfire damaged lands. In addition to<br />

selling to the public, the nursery also <strong>of</strong>fers<br />

custom growing services for large-scale<br />

restoration, re-vegetation, landscape and<br />

research projects.<br />
