Jennifer Neill ’92<br />
Jennifer’s association with <strong>Westminster</strong> began in 1987<br />
when she enrolled in the eighth grade, and she credits<br />
<strong>Westminster</strong> with her fondest educational experiences.<br />
“My memories of Nancy Beane, Nedra Roberts, and Greg<br />
Hyde still make me smile after almost 20 years. <strong>The</strong> fact<br />
that I was a history major at Davidson College and took as<br />
many English classes as I did is a tribute to what I learned<br />
from each of them.” Jennifer recognizes the impact her<br />
<strong>Westminster</strong> teachers made in her own life and feels that<br />
there is nothing more important than insuring that great<br />
teachers will make lasting impressions for years to come.<br />
When asked what prompted her to make her gift, she said,<br />
“My mom and dad always put our education first and that<br />
is something my sister Anna ’95 and I have never taken for<br />
granted. In addition, they instilled in both of us a strong<br />
sense of philanthropy. With those ideals in mind, we have<br />
realized how important that education was and wanted to<br />
give back to such a tremendous place.”<br />
Through supporting <strong>Westminster</strong>, Jennifer hopes that she<br />
can help continue to make <strong>Westminster</strong> an educational<br />
institution second to none. In particular, the Teaching for<br />
Tomorrow campaign is imperative in that it will ensure<br />
that <strong>Westminster</strong> continues to hire teachers who make<br />
indelible impressions in the lives of their students.<br />
