Teaching For Tomorrow: An Update
Our Teaching for Tomorrow Campaign is about ensuring the future for
tomorrow’s teachers and students and as the Co-Chairs of the National
Campaign Committee we are delighted to bring you an update of this year’s
success and a description of what lies ahead in the final years of the Campaign.
Last year at this time Bill Clarkson reported that we had raised a total of $58
million. We are delighted to report that a year later, our Campaign totals exceed
$71 million and that we are right on target to achieve our $100 million goal by
the end of the Campaign.
Westminster has always been blessed by having forward-thinking leaders and
close friends who understand the impact the school has on education in Atlanta
and on the national level. They have always been willing to invest in the future
of the school and this past year’s Campaign progress is continuing evidence
of their commitment. Their support at the leadership levels of giving speaks
volumes about their depth and breadth of support of Teaching for Tomorrow.
consider making an endowment gift in addition to be directed to one of the
following areas:
• Faculty salaries and support
• Professional development
• Coaches’ stipends
• Financial aid
As we strive to raise the remaining $29 million, it is important to remember
that the key to our Teaching for Tomorrow Campaign is the continued
recognition of the need to ensure that funds are in place to attract, retain, and
develop the best faculty to fulfill the mission of Westminster.
We look forward to visiting with each of you as we continue our steady march
to the successful completion of Teaching for Tomorrow.
In the final two years of the campaign, we will approach all members of the
Westminster Family for support and for a gift. Gifts of all sizes and ranges will
be required to achieve our ambitious goal of $100 million.
We will continue asking all of our supporters to maintain their present level of
support for the Annual Fund, now The Westminster Fund, which is central
to the current operating budget of the school. Then we will ask each person to
