BOARD <strong>OF</strong> EDUCATION<br />
COMMITTEE REPORTS AND ACTION ITEMS<br />
Facility – Transportation – Community Relations – Dr. Fogelson updated the Board on the<br />
solar project. A meeting needs to be scheduled to discuss locker/weight room.<br />
Curriculum – Dr. Fogelson spoke about establishing an academic Hall of Fame for students who<br />
achieve a 93 average for 16 marking periods. The Board was in favor of this idea. Dr. Fogelson<br />
also spoke about eliminating the Dual Enrollment Program, changing the AP exam exemption,<br />
proposed use of Ipods in study halls, middle school promotion procedures. Dr. Fogelson<br />
indicated he would bring some proposals in writing to the Board at the June 28 th meeting.<br />

Finance<br />
Motion by Mr. Burns Seconded by Mr. Woznicki<br />
To group Agenda items C(1) – C(6) as follows:<br />
Capital Reserve<br />
To authorize the transfer of up to $400,000 to the Capital Reserve Account.<br />
Maintenance Reserve<br />
To authorize the transfer of up to $200,000 to the Maintenance Reserve Account.<br />
Memorandum of Agreement – Personal/Classroom Aides<br />
To approve the 2011/2012 Memorandum of Agreement between <strong>North</strong> <strong>Warren</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
<strong>District</strong> and Frelinghuysen Township Elementary for Personal/Classroom Aides, beginning<br />
September 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012, as presented.<br />
2011/2012 - <strong>Warren</strong> County Technical <strong>School</strong> – Tuition Contracts<br />
To approve a 2011/2012 tuition contract with <strong>Warren</strong> County Technical <strong>School</strong> for the following:<br />
Regular Ed Program - 30 students @ $2,175 = $65,250<br />
Special Ed Program - 4 students @ $3,250 = $13,000<br />
Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.<br />
Security Coverage – Blairstown Police Dept.<br />
Motion by Mr. Burns Seconded by Mr. Woznicki<br />
To approve costs associated with security coverage by the Blairstown Police Dept. during the<br />
week of Graduation, including the evening of Graduation, at a cost of $85/hour. The amount of<br />
coverage will be determined by the Superintendent. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
