Gallery activities<br />

designed for you<br />

Learning <strong>to</strong> look at paintings, journeys,<br />

exploration, maths in the museum,<br />

houses and homes, materials, artists,<br />

faces, animals, world religions….. if you<br />

have an idea we can work with you <strong>to</strong><br />

create a gallery activity tailor-made for<br />

your class.<br />

Available all year round during<br />

normal opening hours<br />

Booking required. For bespoke sessions<br />

we recommend that you book at least 3<br />

months before you would like <strong>to</strong> visit.<br />

Recommended length of session: 1 hour<br />

for KS1 and 90 minutes for KS2<br />

Maximum group size:1 class (no more<br />

than 30)<br />

Cost: FREE but if your school can afford<br />

it a voluntary contribution of £40 per<br />

group will help us continue <strong>to</strong> deliver<br />

our <strong>programme</strong>s.<br />

Learning outside the<br />

classroom:<br />

Whole day visits <strong>to</strong> Oxford<br />

visiting other University Museums<br />

and the Botanic Garden<br />

Make the most of your whole day<br />

experience of learning outside the<br />

classroom.<br />

Some schools may benefit from visiting<br />

more than one museum or site in<br />

Oxford e.g. Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford<br />

University Museum of Natural His<strong>to</strong>ry,<br />

Museum of the His<strong>to</strong>ry of Science and<br />

the Botanic Garden. This can work well<br />

for exploring some themes e.g. Image<br />

and Identity, Pattern Shape and Form,<br />

Colour, World Religions, Animals,<br />

Ancient Egypt, Materials.<br />
