seule impératrice de Chine à fonder,
grâce à un tempérament d’acier,
sa propre dynastie. Pour se nommer,
elle t créer pour elle seule un caractère

This is a tray for special occasions

Les Dandys

Amoureux, ambitieux, tourmentés, Les Dandys prennent
la pose. Effrontément romantiques, Rastignac, Rodolphe
ou Bel- Ami nous invitent à découvrir l’histoire
qu’ils portent en eux… puisque dissimulés sous leurs
portraits, se cachent de petits rayonnages pour accueillir
les préférés de nos bibliothèques.
A Dandy poses: his portrait gazes directly
at us in a romantic self assured manner,
and in his expression, passionate,
enamoured, ambitious and tormented
feelings mingle. Rastignac, Edmond Dantès
and Bel Ami beckon to us to discover
their tales, stories that have become a part
of them, for hidden beneath their portraits
are small shelves designed to store
our favourite books.

L’ensemble du Mobilier de Compagnie
est signé par Benoît Convers. Sa démarche
met en avant la dimension affective qui nous lie
aux objets. Les fonctions habituelles
s’affublent d’un vocabulaire zoomorphe
pour qu’assises ou rangements s’acquittent
de leurs tâches avec empathie.
Vous est coné ensuite le soin de les apprivoiser…
The whole set of Mobilier de Compagnie is designed
by Benoît Convers using an approach
that emphasizes the affective dimension binding
us to objects. Their usual functions are disguised with
zoomorphic vocabulary, so that seats
or storages perform their role with empathy.
The task of taming them is then up to you…

and our shattered hopes, nestling
in the hollow of our necks…
Each unfurled scarf becomes
the hallmark for this fictional
reality, the essence of freedom
we have all been dreaming of.
Each scarf falls without gravity into
a graphical choreography signed
