MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<br />

To complete the accurate <strong>and</strong> timely processing of the <strong>Group</strong>s’ financial<br />

transactions<br />

• To complete the accurate <strong>and</strong> timely processing of the <strong>Group</strong>s’ financial transactions;<br />

e.g. Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger invoices; Operative Timesheets, Cash<br />

Management through processing receipts, refunds <strong>and</strong> transfers in our <strong>Housing</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

Finance systems; Amending charges; Write Offs; Direct Debits; Student Deposits; etc<br />

• To complete the reconciliation of transactions <strong>and</strong> balances, investigating differences as<br />

required:<br />

For example: Interfacing between systems; Adding statements to our Finance system,<br />

<strong>and</strong> matching transactions to the Cashbook; Sales Ledger Control Accounts, Purchase<br />

Ledger Control Accounts, Rent Ledger Control Accounts. Operative Timesheets to<br />

payroll.<br />

• To undertake <strong>and</strong> contribute to the relevant tasks required to close period ends <strong>and</strong><br />

Year End as per timetables.<br />

• To undertake <strong>and</strong> contribute to Statutory Returns as required e.g. VAT returns, CIS<br />

returns<br />

• To identify <strong>and</strong> implement continuous improvement<br />

• To work to all agreed service levels <strong>and</strong> processes with both internal <strong>and</strong> external<br />

customers<br />

• To ensure Processes & Procedures are kept up to date <strong>and</strong> published in the<br />

appropriate areas.<br />

• To carry out such other duties as might be reasonably requested by the Line Manager.<br />
