Your location is variable as the nature of this job requires travel to any of our<br />

properties, this includes properties that we currently maintain, or on contracts we<br />

may win in the future.<br />

To assist fully qualified Electricians with quality re-wire, repair <strong>and</strong> maintenance<br />

works. Work activity will depend on location, but will normally fall into the<br />

categories of void properties, general repair <strong>and</strong> maintenance, prior to paint or<br />

modernizations.<br />

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<br />

• To assist Electricians with rewires <strong>and</strong> day to day repairs to a variety of properties, electrical<br />

experience an advantage.<br />

• To chase out, form holes etc. as necessary, to accommodate wiring, box fittings etc, 2 nd fix electrical<br />

accessories.<br />

• Be required to plaster, an ability to patch holes in walls <strong>and</strong> floors.<br />

• To liaise with tenants to arrange appointments, access arrangements, discuss works etc.<br />

• To ensure works are carried out on time <strong>and</strong> to the customers’ reasonable satisfaction, <strong>and</strong> in<br />

accordance with good professional practice.<br />

• To work with, <strong>and</strong> provide information relating to technical matters, to any group as directed by the<br />

Contract Supervisor.<br />

• To liaise with other staff, Surveyors <strong>and</strong> Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely<br />

completion of works within agreed operational targets.<br />

• To ensure accurate <strong>and</strong> timely completion of all paperwork including job tickets <strong>and</strong> timesheets <strong>and</strong><br />

ensure this is passed to your Supervisor within agreed timescales.<br />

• To ensure that any required qualifications for your position remain valid <strong>and</strong> to ensure that any<br />

necessary training is arranged <strong>and</strong> undertaken within the specified timescales.<br />

• To attend meetings, training sessions <strong>and</strong> conferences as required.<br />

• To participate in the <strong>Group</strong>’s out of hour’s emergency service.<br />

• To act at all times in accordance with the <strong>Group</strong>’s rules, policies, procedures <strong>and</strong> financial<br />

regulations.<br />
