Eoff’s leadership in the green market allowed
the company to gain market share despite the
tough economic downturn. Energy savings is
nothing new to Eoff. Since 1996, the company has
had an Energy Savings Department dedicated
to providing their customers with cost effective
solutions while using less energy and fewer
natural resources. In 2008, Eoff coordinated
projects saving over 2.5 million kWh for
businesses and organizations in Oregon and SW
Washington, and was named the Energy Trust of
Oregon top distributor, for the fourth time in a row.
In addition, the commercial contractor business
was strong for the first three quarters of 2008 and
the industrial business remained steady helping to
drive sales and market share.
Internally, Eoff launched several employee
training programs to develop associates’
product knowledge and their ability to serve
customers. BlueWay training, particularly in the
areas of retrofits and energy-saving lamps, was
implemented throughout all the branches. Also,
a Professional Difference Initiative was deployed
to all associates to increase their ability to work
professionally with both customers and vendors.
In 2009, Eoff will celebrate 90 years of service
to the Oregon and SW Washington community
with a large customer and employee
event held in central Oregon.
