14th IAESTE Training and Motivation Seminar

The 14th IAESTE Training and Motivation Seminar JUMP (Join
Us to Motivate People) took place in Banja Luka in Bosnia
and Herzegovina from 1-5 October 2008 hosted by the Local
Committee in Banja Luka. Over 50 new and experienced
participants, mainly from Europe and the United States attended
the event along with six trainers.
The participants joined four out of five training sessions which
included Job raising where a phone system was used to create
the scenario of Job raising, Local Committee management,
Marketing, Summer reception, the Alumni Association and
the IntraWeb. Each session was 3 hours long and gave the
participants an insight into the administration of IAESTE as well
as introducing them to areas unfamiliar or unknown to them in
their home country.
During JUMP there was also time for socialising including the
International evening where participants had the opportunity to
experience the culinary tastes of other countries, a tour of Banja
Luka and its sights as well as white water rafting on the Vrbas
River. An evening with traditional Bosnian food and music was
also part of the programme.
The event was well co-ordinated by Tanja Milojevic and her team,
which gave excellent support throughout the five days.

JUMP 2009 will be held in Radstadt, Salzburg, Austria.
15 years ago JUMP was founded by Martin Klaus, from IAESTE
Austria. After so many years, JUMP will be back in Austria. The
15th JUMP will be hosted by IAESTE Austria from 30 September
to 4 October 2009. The programme will include six Training
Sessions led by a group of experienced delegates. All new
IAESTE volunteers are welcome to join JUMP 2009. Don’t miss
the training sessions, sightseeing, Company visit, entertainment
and lots of motivation.
