This questi<strong>on</strong>naire was designed to map <strong>and</strong> assess existing legislati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> policies in <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

partners’ countries. It aims to collect, in a uniform way, informati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> the legal provisi<strong>on</strong>s to<br />

receive health care for pers<strong>on</strong>s bel<strong>on</strong>ging to the <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g> target groups. This will allow to:<br />

a) compare identified legislati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> policies between <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g> partners’ countries;<br />

b) highlight legislati<strong>on</strong> gaps in <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g> partners’ countries comparing selected European<br />

Uni<strong>on</strong> Directives that refer to health care for immigrants;<br />

c) possibly, highlight best policies to provide inspirati<strong>on</strong> for new health care strategies <strong>and</strong><br />

acti<strong>on</strong>s which will c<strong>on</strong>tinue to address the issue of health care for immigrants.<br />

Data collecti<strong>on</strong><br />

The questi<strong>on</strong>naire c<strong>on</strong>tains open-ended questi<strong>on</strong>s. If you do not have all the informati<strong>on</strong> required,<br />

please answer as many questi<strong>on</strong>s as possible.<br />

We would like you to list <strong>and</strong> report <strong>on</strong> nati<strong>on</strong>al legislati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> policies that are in effect in your<br />

country, regulating health care for immigrants either as a whole or as <strong>on</strong>e or more of the following<br />

specific groups: regular immigrants, irregular immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees, <strong>and</strong><br />

victims of human being trafficking. Please c<strong>on</strong>sider that we are particularly interested to<br />

investigate legal provisi<strong>on</strong>s regulating health care for immigrants within the three mainstreams<br />

FOR THE PURPOSES OF <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g> PROJECT<br />

Legislati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> health care to immigrants:<br />

It refers to binding legal provisi<strong>on</strong>s related to the health care for immigrants (as a general<br />

category) or for <strong>on</strong>e or more of the <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g> target groups. Please c<strong>on</strong>sider legislati<strong>on</strong> that<br />

is currently in effect in your country.<br />

Policy <strong>on</strong> health care to immigrants:<br />

It is an organized set of values, principles <strong>and</strong> objectives for the delivery of health care to<br />

immigrants (as a general category) or to <strong>on</strong>e or more of the <str<strong>on</strong>g>EUGATE</str<strong>on</strong>g> target groups.<br />

Depending <strong>on</strong> the country, policies can be binding. In a wide sense we can include in this<br />

group also detailed schemes for acti<strong>on</strong> which may include setting priorities for strategies<br />

<strong>and</strong> establishing timelines <strong>and</strong> resource requirements. Please c<strong>on</strong>sider the last existing<br />

versi<strong>on</strong> of a policy.<br />
