where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the
Red Queen’s reign of terror.
Let the mad hatting continue and join us for a night at the movies with choc tops
and popcorn available. This is a special family fundraising event for the Moruya
Public School where all funds raised are reinvested into the students at the school.

Drop in for a wind-down drink and chat, before a Spanish- inspired light meal prepared as a fundraiser
for River of Art. Then stay for the classic film CARMEN JONES presented by the Moruya
Community Film Group.
Carmen Jones is a musical produced and directed by Otto Preminger. The screenplay is based
on the 1943 stage production of the same name by Oscar Hammerstein. Hammerstein also wrote
the lyrics to music composed by Georges Bizet for his 1875 opera Carmen. In 1992, the film was
selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as
being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
