Catch a glimpse of the Moruya Public School’s latest production. Inspired by
Graeme Base’s work, the Moruya Public School has been creating a magical
musical theatre work and will be providing a mere snippet to whet your curiosity
and transport you into the enchanted world of the sea.

Janette Dadd brings her poetry to life in performance. With a sense of theatre and
audience participation, you will be indulged.
SUNSHINE SUN 20 MAY
2pm @ Narooma Kinema, Princes Highway, Narooma.
Alma and Bill are in love….with each other, with dances and balls (Alma) and with
big game fishing (Bill). They juggle their passions against the backdrop of the
bustling town of Narooma in 1939 – a town of fishing, timber and shipping, as
well as a summer playground of the well-to-do set from out of town. But war will
soon change the world they know and love.
A rehearsed reading of Sunshine will be performed at the Narooma Kinema
– the original School of Arts building and scene of many social events of the time.
This performance is part of the development of new theatre piece created by South East Arts and
written by Mary Rachel Brown. Audience will be invited to participate in a discussion with the actors
and writer after the performance.

THE HANDSOME MEN WITH UGLY HATS SAT 26 MAY

Two young men explore a series of short duologues, fun, quirky and serious, the hats tell it all.
Remy Graham as Artistic Director of the National University Theatre Society (NUTS) has taken
this student theatre company in new and interesting areas since beginning this role in 2011. He
met Joshua Bell through his studies at University, and has since worked with Josh in a number of
capacities. Joshua Bell, has been caught up in this business of drama ever since his début role
of Vimes in “Guards! Guards!” at high school. Joshua was a part of the Canberra Youth Theatre’s
Actors Ensemble, when he performed in the play “The Messenger” as Marv and The Rapist. He has
performed in many productions while at the ANU. These include; Orsino in “The Twelfth Night”, and
Admetus in “Alkestis”. Other productions through the Australian National Theatre Society had lead
him to perform Knocka in “Dimboola”, and Woyzeck in “Woyzeck”. He performs story-time at the
library, which makes him feel like a Wiggle. His loves include both Improv Theatre, and existential
dramas. Remy and Josh formed the ‘Handsome Men’ duo as they have wanted for a long time to
work together in a more professional capacity.
