Service Opportunities -
� Volunteers are needed to help with the Funshop Fundraiser on Sunday, November 18. If you want to volunteer,
the deadline to RSVP is TODAY. Please see the flyers in the Commons or check the service bulletin board for
contact information.
� If you are interested in volunteering to rake leaves for an elderly woman next Saturday, November 17 beginning
at 10:00 a.m., see Mr. Seck on the Commons during lunch.
� Volunteers are needed for Compass, a program sponsored by the Family Service Center that pairs high school
students with students from local grade schools. Please see Mr. Seck if you are interested.
� SHG is partnering with Habitat of Humanity Youth Build for SHGWorks. Volunteers are still needed. Please see
Mr. Seck for more information.
NCAA Eligibility – Do you want to be a college student-athlete? If you are a gifted athlete who has an interest in
competing in Division I or II college athletics, it is important to also know the academic requirements of the NCAA. A
meeting to cover the NCAA initial eligibility requirements will be held at Southeast High School on Thursday,
November 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is an informative presentation covering topics such as core courses, test scores,
core grade point average, and amateurism requirements of the NCAA. For more information, please stop by the Guidance
Office.
