Selected stretches passing through built up area shall be widened to two lane with
paved shoulder Fig 2.3 of Schedule ‘D’.
2.2 Built up section having four lane divided Carriageway with Footpath
Four laning carriageway having cross section Fig 2.2 of Schedule 'D' shall be constructed as
follows:-

Four laning in built up section of khandwa shall as far as possible be carried out on
existing available ROW. Additional land, if required will be acquired by MPRDC at some places
where sufficient ROW is not available to meet the requirement of four.
2.3 Two Lane with Paved Shoulder
Following stretches of road has been proposed in Two lane with 1.5 m paved shoulder and
1.0 m granular shoulder on either side as shown in cross section Fig. 2.3 of Schedule ‘D’
shall be constructed in following stretches shown in Table B-2.
