E. Compensation and Resettlement Budget and Financing<br />
40. Based on the background <strong>of</strong> this subproject the entire amount for resettlement and rehabilitation<br />
and training for this subproject is estimated to be Tk 717000 seven lacs seventeen<br />
thousand three fifty . This subproject does not have any budget for land acquisition as all the<br />
land is khas land, owned by the Government. As per Resettlement Framework the full costs <strong>of</strong><br />
compensation will be the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the <strong>LGED</strong>. and special assistance to vulnerable<br />

41. The cost <strong>of</strong> cash grants, training and social development cost will be provided by the<br />
Project. The benefit will be paid directly to eligible persons (EPs). The rehabilitation and training<br />
for APs will be provided through WMCA for skills and livelihood support including agriculture<br />
and fisheries and livestock’s activities. The training program will be based on the vulnerability<br />
and needs assessment carried out through the census, SES and consultation exercise.<br />
F. RP Implementation<br />
1. Implementation Schedule<br />
42. The Project’s Institutional strengthening and capacity building activities will commence in<br />
the first year <strong>of</strong> the Project; these activities will taper <strong>of</strong>f towards Project completion. Subproject<br />
implementation will be conducted following a rolling program over the 8 year life <strong>of</strong> the Project.<br />
RPs will be implemented before the award <strong>of</strong> civil award contracts. However, the implementation<br />
schedule for subprojects will be prepared considering any possible changes from the Detailed<br />
Design and DMS. Time schedule for RP implementation for the first batch <strong>of</strong> subprojects<br />
is presented in Figure 4.<br />
