Systematic light
management
Light management systems
from OSRAM - known as
OSRAM LMS for short - are
consistently based on the
DALI interface standard and
are presented in the new
brochure "Systematic Light
Management - LMS from
OSRAM".
In addition to a variety of control
gear with DALI interface,
OSRAM offers tailor-made
light management systems
with a broad range of application
at the luminaire and room
level. In the case of buildingwide,
networked solutions,
DALI control gear from OSRAM
can be integrated via gateways
from partner companies.
Information on the individual
vendors has been compiled in
the brochure.
Latest on the 3 and 5-year
ECG guarantees
After a year of experience and
a positive response, OSRAM is
expanding the 3 and 5-year
guarantees to cover additional
ECG families.
• General 3-year guarantee on
electronic control gear of the
QUICKTRONIC,
HALOTRONIC,
POWERTRONIC,
DULUXTRONIC and
OPTOTRONIC ranges.
• Total 5-year guarantee on
QUICKTRONIC of the QT-FH,
QT-FQ, QTP, QT-M,
HF…DIM, QT…DIM and
QT-DALI ranges - when used
in conjunction with fluorescent
lamps from OSRAM.
• 5-year guarantee on POWER-
TRONIC control gear of the
PTU range - when used in
conjunction with HQI or HCI
high-pressure discharge
lamps from OSRAM.
• 5-year guarantee on the
ENDURA system: QUICK-
TRONIC ENDURA electronic
control gear and ENDURA
lamp.
The 5-year ECG guarantee is
subject to registration of the
respective lighting installation.

Dimmer understands DALI
Electronic transformers, highvoltage
halogen lamps and
incandescent lamps can now
very easily be integrated in
DALI systems.
The HT DALI DIM compact
dimming unit is designed with
a cable clamp for independent
installation. In the unit, an
incoming DALI signal is converted
into a trailing edge phase
control signal, which can then
be used for controlling the
specified components.
The unit operates with a mains
voltage of 220 V to 240 V at
50/60 Hz. The maximum load
is 500 W, and the dimming
range extends from 0 to 100%.
This further expands the range
of DALI products from OSRAM,
opening up new applications:
entering the market with a
system - comprising control
components, sensors, operating
elements, converters,
DALI ECG and a dimming unit -
offers advantages not only for
the customer. The system
makes it possible to realise a
variety of lighting scenes conveniently
and easily - now also
using high-voltage halogen
lamps.
