Shane Canney completed his PhD in experimental physics at the<br />
Flinders University of South Australia in March 1997. The topic<br />
of his thesis was "Electron Momentum Spectroscopy of Solids". He<br />
joined Electronic Warfare Division (EWD) of DSTO in March<br />
1999 as a Research Scientist in Maritime Systems Group in EWD.<br />
His work has focussed on the modelling <strong>and</strong> simulation of EW<br />
systems in support of the Virtual Ship project.<br />
