Local artists and craftspeople regularly exhibit their work at a variety of locations throughout the borough and the Christchurch and District Arts Society (CADarts) produces a wide-ranging Diary of Arts Events which take place throughout the year. Music There is always something happening in Christchurch whatever the time of year. From classics to rock, opera to folk, there’s plenty to enjoy during your visit. Concerts, plays, recitals and shows take place at Christchurch Priory Church, Highcliffe Castle and the Regent Centre and a wide range of live music takes place regularly in our pubs, restaurants and hotels. Numerous free musical events also take place throughout the year including the Christchurch Festival and “Stompin’ on the Quomps”. Eating Out From fine dining in AA-rosette restaurants, tasty snacks and meals in traditional or contemporary bars and cafés, delicious European and Eastern cuisine or a scrumptious afternoon tea, you are sure to find something to tempt you whatever your budget. Christchurch is renowned for its annual Food and Wine Festival which takes place from 10-19 May 2013 and the much-loved Festival Food Market which takes place in the High Street on 11 & 12 May 2013 with over a hundred traders selling quality local, regional and international food and drink.
