A mecca for
leaflet is available from
the Christchurch Information
Centre.
● The Royalty Fishery is one of
England's most famous coarse
fisheries and is regularly featured
www.visitchristchurch.info
on the Hampshire
Avon, including the
Royalty Fishery’s
Fly fishing for
rainbow and brown
trout is available at
several well-stocked
still-water fisheries
within reasonable
travelling distance of
the town.
Sea fishing in
Christchurch Harbour at Stanpit is particularly good for bass and
mullet during the spring and summer, whilst nearby Mudeford and
Hengistbury Head offer plenty of scope for beachcasting all year
round. In season you can expect to catch mackerel, sea bream,
rays, spurdog, wrasse and even the occasional cod. If you fancy a
day out on the sea there are a number of fully licensed fishing
boats operating from local ports: Mudeford is a registered fishing
port.
Whatever your choice of fishing you are sure to be well
catered for when you visit Christchurch.
