Example 5<br />

To use the wildcard character to remove the node authorizations that allow user wilma to execute<br />

any tools assigned to the webadmin toolbox on all configured nodes at the time the command is<br />

executed, enter mxauth -r -u wilma -R webadmin -n "*".<br />

To add the node group authorization to allow user sue to execute any tools assigned to the<br />

webadmin toolbox on nodegroup webGroup, enter mxauth -a -u sue -R webadmin -g<br />

mxauth writes to stdout, stderr, and the <strong>Systems</strong> <strong>Insight</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> Audit Log file.<br />

• This command can only be run on the CMS.<br />

• You can remove an authorization that does not exist. This operation results in a return value<br />

of 0.<br />

• An authorization is nonexistent if all of its attributes (user name, toolbox name, node or node<br />

group name) are valid <strong>Systems</strong> <strong>Insight</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> objects, but they are not associated as an<br />

authorization.<br />

• It is not an error to add an authorization that already exists in <strong>Systems</strong> <strong>Insight</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>. This<br />

operation results in a return value of 0.<br />
