Project Warm takes on the home energy
consumption battle in three ways:
Energy Management Workshops - Lowincome
families learn the skills to make their
home more energy efficient and receive basic
supplies to get started.
First Line Weatherization Services - A mix of
staff and volunteers repair windows and doors,
add weather stripping, change furnace filters
and more for households that meet financial
requirements.
Project Warm Blitz - Each November hundreds
of volunteers hang plastic over windows for
low income families what are physically unable
to do so themselves in order to help them stay
warm during the cold winter months.
“Project Warm’s services are vital to our
region and provide at-risk people in our
community with valuable weatherization
tools and education that make a difference
in helping them manage utility bills,” said
Laura Douglas, vice president of Corporate
Responsibility and Community Affairs for
E.ON U.S., parent company of LG&E. “Since
Project Warm’s inception, we’ve been a likeminded
partner in the effort to promote
energy efficiency and help our customers
use energy wisely.”
Alyson Goldberg is on the Board of Project
