Help Turn the Green On!
How do I make a difference with LG&E Green Energy
Renewable energy costs more to develop than coal-fired energy. To help develop new
renewable energy, LG&E Green Energy dollars “pay the difference” to make the difference.
For every $5 of LG&E Green Energy you add to your bill, you are assured that 300 kWh of
electricity are being delivered to the Kentucky regional energy grid by a pure renewable
energy source (hydro, landfill or wind energy built since 1997). Renewable Energy
Certificates are purchased from regional renewable energy operators and are third-party
certified by Green-e Energy.®
How much of a difference can I make
Average LG&E homes use 900 kWh of electricity per month. It costs $15 per month
