Oriase J. Lavoie<br />
3/30/1929- 8/28/<strong>2010</strong><br />
Oriase J. Lavoie passed away at the age <strong>of</strong> 81 on August 28, <strong>2010</strong>, after a four year battle with cancer.<br />
He retired from the <strong>Ludlow</strong> Police Department in 1989 after thirty years <strong>of</strong> dedicated service.<br />
Officer Lavoie was involved with the Radar Program which was State funded. He committed to the<br />
assignment and for ten years drove a white Dodge police car which was provided to the police<br />
department by the State. He took his job very seriously, <strong>of</strong>ten stopping those “ lead foot” drivers giving<br />
them a warning that the speed limit must be upheld.<br />
He leaves his devoted wife <strong>of</strong> 59 years, Josephine along with his loving children Denise (James),<br />
Claudette (Michel), Joseph (Edna), and Daniel, his seven cherished grandchildren and many extended<br />
family members. May he rest in peace.
