Please join us for a warm meal, <strong>and</strong> friendly conversation at<br />
<strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Community</strong> Hall, 3716 – 2 Street NW.<br />

Jubliee has a beautiful child friendly space with toys <strong>and</strong> a play structure<br />
that they are off ering to the community.<br />

Over the summer we had some <strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>Park</strong> youth involved in<br />
making the community a GREAT place! Th ey helped every Tuesday<br />
with Music in the <strong>Park</strong> by setting up, taking down <strong>and</strong> even making<br />
<strong>and</strong> selling lemonade <strong>and</strong> popcorn to raise money for youth initia-<br />

painting posts, s<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>and</strong> staining the benches <strong>and</strong> weeding. Th e<br />
next step in the garden area is to paint some murals on the concrete<br />

<strong>Calgary</strong> Relay For Life<br />
Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.<br />
We are hosting a Christmas Craft <strong>and</strong> Bake Sale at the <strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong><br />
<strong>Park</strong> <strong>Community</strong> Centre. Th e sale is on Saturday Nov. 24 from 10am<br />
to 5 pm <strong>and</strong> Sunday Nov. 25 from 10am to 4pm. We will have a large<br />
variety of vendors, raffl es, Santa, kid’s area, etc. for people to begin<br />
shopping early. Additionally, proceeds from the sale go to the Canadian<br />
Cancer Society’s Relay For Life to help in the fi ght against cancer.<br />
Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser - it’s a 12-hour event<br />
to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost <strong>and</strong> fi ght<br />
back against the disease. Join the biggest cancer fundraising event to<br />

(City of <strong>Calgary</strong>). She will describe the exciting NeighborWoods<br />
program that has been brought to <strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>Park</strong> this year (only 8<br />
communities a year are chosen!). You can register to be a Residential<br />
Tree Steward where you will receive a free tree with your purchase of<br />
a $30 watering bag.<br />
