Grief Support Group<br />
Northminster United Church 3311 Centre St N. Invites anyone<br />
who has lost a partner or other significant person in their life to attend<br />
our Grief Support Group. This group meets on the third Friday<br />
of every month at 1 pm. Information is available from the church office<br />

Campbell’s Labels<br />
for Education Program<br />
Does your family use Campbell’s soups? Or Goldfish crackers?<br />
Or Prego pasta sauce? Or Pace salsa? Or drink V8? If so, you can<br />
help Buchanan school earn supplies such as gym equipment, books,<br />
or educational DVDs for our library with the Campbell’s Labels for<br />
Education Program!<br />
How does it work?<br />
1) You keep the whole label, or just the lid, or cut out the UPC code<br />
of the product (see details below for each participating product).<br />
2) Bring it to the school <strong>and</strong> drop it in the Campbell’s Labels for<br />
Did you know…<br />
You can compost your fall leaves <strong>and</strong> your pumpkins in either your<br />
own compost bin or at one of the City of <strong>Calgary</strong>’s leaf <strong>and</strong> pumpkin<br />
composting locations. The locations closest to <strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>Park</strong> are<br />
at: Huntington Hills Athletic <strong>Park</strong> at Hunstrom Drive <strong>and</strong> 4 St.<br />
NE, or Confederation <strong>Park</strong> at 905 30 Ave. NW, or North Haven<br />
<strong>Community</strong> Centre at 5003 North Haven Dr. NW. Check the City<br />
of <strong>Calgary</strong> website, www.calgary.ca for more information <strong>and</strong> search<br />
for leaf <strong>and</strong> pumpkin composting. These locations are not meant for<br />
other yard waste. The locations are accepting leaves <strong>and</strong> pumpkins<br />
from now until November 11th.<br />
<strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>Park</strong> has a new <strong>Calgary</strong> Police Service (CPS) <strong>Community</strong><br />
Liaison Officer (CLO). The boundaries for the communities Marv<br />
Glaser is looking after have been changed, so the new CLO looking<br />
after <strong>Highl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>Park</strong> will be Will Johnson. Thanks for everything<br />
Marv, <strong>and</strong> we’re looking forward to working with you Will!<br />
Education bin just inside the West entrance to Buchanan school, or<br />
call Anne Naumann (number below) of the Buchanan Parent Association<br />
to drop them off with her.<br />
3) Each label is worth 1 point, <strong>and</strong> once we have enough points,<br />
we can trade them in for things the school can use.<br />
4) Ask your friends or other family members to save up their labels<br />
for you too! The more labels we can get, the more points we can earn,<br />
the more stuff we can get!<br />
