SEEING THE
VISION
There is a saying I love: Elevate your thinking; elevate your life. I will
often tell my team and myself that success depends on whether we
think we can, or cannot, be successful in this business. This business
is about seeing the vision before it comes to fruition. You have to
have vision and insight to the success in order to know what you are
aiming for.
I feel very fortunate and blessed to have caught the vision for the
Arbonne opportunity. I was actually approached with Arbonne
back in July of 2003 by my sister-in-law, ENVP Rachele Nichols. At
that time, she had just started the journey of building her Arbonne
business. My husband and I were not interested in the opportunity,
but agreed to try the products. I immediately fell in love with them
and the way my skin looked and felt. I would get compliments and
tell people to try the products too, all the while not even considering
the opportunity. I felt I was too busy. At the time, I was a sales manager
for a prestigious golf company in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area,
had a military commitment to Air National Guard and attended
school at night to complete my business degree. I thought I was way
too busy to add anything else to my hectic schedule.
In January of 2004, Rachele approached us again about the business.
She encouraged us to read a book that explains the simplicity
of network marketing and building up a network of consumers.
After reading the book, my perception and respect of the industry
completely changed. My life and my husband’s life were also forever
changed — we had caught the Arbonne vision!
In the book, the author talks about building a network of consumers.
This completely made sense to me. I was using the product already
and telling others how much I loved it, why not show people they
could buy for themselves and get it at a discount. Prior to reading
the book, it had not “clicked” with me that building an Arbonne
business could have been so simple. My husband and I agreed we
would make a one-year commitment to Arbonne and after one year
we would see where we were and evaluate if this was something we
continued ...
”
wanted to continue building. We jumped on board with both feet.
We were a little scared and intimidated by network marketing
because neither of us had any prior experience in the industry. But,
we also studied enough about the industry to know that it was a
viable and smart way to move product and grow a business. We
had previously looked into several different opportunities, but unlike
Arbonne, they were high capital and high risk with low reward. This
is a business where you can start with minimal capital and have the
opportunity to obtain great reward and success in a short amount of
time. Since then, my husband and I have both achieved RVP with
Arbonne in less than 13 months.
I will be forever grateful and thankful to Rachele for not giving up
on us and being persistent in sharing Arbonne with us. This has
completely changed our life. In March of 2005, I was able to quit
my corporate job and focus on building our families’ Arbonne business
full time. Not only was I able to leave the corporate world, but
my husband, ENVP Lance Groenewold, was also able to walk away
from his very high stress corporate sales job. We are now able to
work in this business side-by-side. Our passion is to share this
incredible opportunity with everyone. This is a business where you
are successful by helping others be successful. My husband and I
are a team, and our passion is to strive to be characterized by our
team, so we can help others grow and share in the amazing
Arbonne opportunity with us.
Our goal as a family was for me to be able to stay at home with our
children once the time came for us to start a family. We did not have
the plan in place, just the dream. Arbonne has allowed us to put our
dream into an active plan for our future family.
I want to thank my team for all of their hard work and dedication.
Of course, none of this would be possible without you.
A special thanks to my long-time best friend and business partner,
EAM Jamie Overland: This is a business you can work with those closest
to you. I cannot wait to see you in your new, white Mercedes-Benz.
To my new and dearest friend, ERVP Tiffany Obar: Your determination
and willingness to grow and learn is something to be respected.
I am so thankful we are able to work side-by-side in this business.
To the rest of my AMs, Robin Bauzon, Kim Green and Laura Katz:
Thank you for the example you display to your team. To AM Rose Blau:
You have taught me the beauty of team building and keeping others
motivated. I know you are lighting Arbonne fires all over Chicago!
To all of the DMs: We know it all starts with you! Be persistent and
stay committed and it will not be a matter of “if” you earn your car,
just “when.” I am so proud and blessed to have each and every one
of you on the team.
To my husband, ENVP Lance Groenewold: We are a dynamic duo.
Thank you for all of your love and support. I am so blessed to have
you in my life and to be working with you. You lead by example and
know how to make any Arbonne opportunity meeting “entertaining.”
There is never a dull moment with you and I am so blessed to be your
partner. Here is to our potential financial freedom!
