Comhairle’s four strategic priorities define its services to<br />

the public. These are to:<br />

1. Produce and publish high-quality integrated<br />

information on social and civil services, by sourcing<br />

and integrating information from a wide range of<br />

providers and sources.<br />

2. Promote and support the delivery of information,<br />

advice and advocacy on social and civil services to<br />

the public, by developing effective and accessible<br />

channels to meet the varying needs of individuals<br />

and communities.<br />

3. Influence policy developments by highlighting the<br />

concerns of service users as to the effectiveness<br />

of social and civil services, by gathering and<br />

analysing feedback from the users of information<br />

services and presenting this information to the relevant<br />

Ministers and service providers.<br />

4. Promote accessibility to information, advice and<br />

advocacy and heighten public awareness of social<br />

and civil services, including access for people with<br />

disabilities, by promoting services and providing<br />

information in a range of formats and delivered through<br />

co-ordinated channels.<br />

1. Eolas comhtháite d’ardchaighdeán ar sheirbhisí<br />

sóisialta agus sibhialta a sholáthar agus a fhoilsiú,<br />

trí eolas ó réimse leathan soláthraithe agus foinsí a<br />

fhoinsiú agus a chomhtháthú.<br />

2. Seachadadh an eolais, comhairle agus abhcóideacht<br />

maidir le seirbhisí sóisialta agus sibhialta a chur ar<br />

aghaidh agus a sholáthar, trí mheáin éifeachtacha<br />

agus inrochtana a fhorbairt chun freastal ar riachtanais<br />

éagsula daoine agus pobal.<br />

3. Dul i bhfeidhm ar fhorbairtí beartais trí cheisteanna<br />

úsáideoirí na seirbhísí faoi éifeachtacht na seirbhísí<br />

sóisialta agus sibhialta a thabhairt chun solais, trí<br />

aiseolas ó úsáideoirí na seirbhísí eolais a bhailiú agus a<br />

scrúdú agus an t-eolas seo a chur in iúl don Aire<br />

ábhartha agus do na soláthraithe seirbhísí.<br />

4. Inrochtaineacht eolais, comhairle agus<br />

abhcóideachta a chur ar aghaidh agus feasacht<br />

phoiblí ar seirbhísí sóisialta agus sibhialta a ardú,<br />

lena n-áirítear inrochtaineacht do dhaoine le míchumais,<br />

trí sheirbhísí a chur chun cinn agus eolas a chur ar fáil i<br />

réimsí formáidí agus i meáin chomhordaithe.<br />
