From north to south,<br />
Chile’s Lake District stretches from<br />
the Pacific to the Andes, famous for its<br />
deep blue mountain lakes, snow-capped<br />
volcanoes and larch forests. Lakes perforate<br />
a landscape interspersed with abundant<br />
rivers, waterfalls, forests and thermal<br />
hot springs. Gliding through unspoiled<br />

wildlife and accessing remote fjords,<br />

from Chile (or vice versa), a voyage on<br />
an Australis vessel takes you from Punta<br />
Arenas to Ushuaia, passing through the<br />
Straits of Magellan, the Beagle Channel<br />

the Atmosphere marine biologists in a<br />
whale-watching programme where you<br />
will be on the lookout for sperm whale,<br />
killer whale and the blue whale, and<br />
Peale’s Chilean, Dusky and Commerson’s<br />
dolphin. Discover the astonishing natural<br />
beauty of Patagonia with a host of<br />
outdoor activities: trek along the coast,<br />
through forests on remote islands and<br />
