times, and other circumstances, the memories
and capacities of weak people were the better

annual commemorations of the principal mysteries
of our redemption : and certain particular days
were dedicated to that purpose, as nigh as might
be guessed (for the most part) upon those very
seasons of the year, in which the several mys
teries were accomplished. And, indeed, this is
not that heathenish or idolatrous heeding of
times, reprehended in Isaiah xlvii. ;
