Camshaft Timing Belts, Tensioners & Sprockets:<br />
109 050 CAM TIMING DRIVE BELT ('75-'92, 8V INCLUDING G60)<br />
We have seen these belts go more than 100,000 miles without<br />
incident. However, they should be changed if frayed or oil-soaked.<br />
Don't forget, if you break one with your GTI or with an earlier car<br />
equipped with a big valve head, you can bend the intake valves!<br />
Either way, you're walking!<br />

Timing Chain Kit<br />
109 051 CAM TIMING DRIVE BELT ('86-'92, 16V)<br />
The repairs are much more expensive if the belt breaks with a 16V.<br />
You are guaranteed to bend most (if not all) the intake valves.<br />
Change the belt at least every 50,000 miles.<br />
109 062 CAM TIMING CHAIN ('86-'92, 16V)<br />
OEM quality replacement cam timing chain. We recommend changing<br />
it at 100,000 miles or at cam change.<br />
109 052 CAM TIMING DRIVE BELT ('93-early '99 Mk3 2.0L)<br />
Fits the “tall block” 2.0 8V ("ABA"). Change the belt at least every<br />
80,000 miles.<br />
109 053 CAM TIMING DRIVE BELT (16V TALL BLOCK)<br />
Fits the Euro 16V tall block. "ABF" engine code. ("ABA" w/ 16v<br />

109 055 CAM TIMING BELT TENSIONER (8V, '75-'93 INCLUDING G60)<br />
While you are changing the timing belt, give the tensioner a spin and<br />
listen for noise. If it is noisy, or its been over 100,000 miles, do<br />
yourself a favor and change it. We have seen them freeze up. This<br />
is the latest model tensioner and requires a special spanner to<br />
adjust the tension (our part #864 000).<br />
109 056 CAM TIMING BELT TENSIONER (16V)<br />
Change this part every time you change the belt. It's not worth the<br />
risk of it failing.<br />
109 057 CAM TIMING BELT TENSIONER, '93-4/'97 (8V 2.0L)<br />
Fits '93-4/'97 tall block engines. Includes stud, nut and washer.<br />
