109 060 ADJUSTABLE CAM SPROCKET (POLISHED, 8V)<br />

Some cam grinds do respond to advancing or retarding the cam<br />

timing. The results of manipulating the cam timing are predictable.<br />

If the cam is advanced, the engine will pick up horsepower at the<br />

lower rpm range and lose power at the high rpm range and viceversa.<br />

Nothing magic, but if you have a cam that doesn't quite match<br />

your engine combination, they can be of help. Don't expect miracles!<br />

We're only talking about a few horsepower at a limited rpm range.<br />

However, it can help a “dual purpose” vehicle's performance. For<br />

example, the cam timing could be advanced for city driving, or<br />

retarded for high rpm use, such as, autocrossing. Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3<br />
