Engine Oiling System:<br />

Trite as it may sound, oil is “the life blood” of your engine. Keep the<br />

pressure up with the right pump, keep it clean with an OEM quality<br />

oil filter, and keep it cool with an added cooler. The oiling system of<br />

the Volkswagen started out excellent, and has even improved over<br />

the years. Upgrade your engine to the latest factory specs.<br />

Oil pressure notes:<br />

Early engines (solid lifter) had a normal operating oil pressure of<br />

about 90 psi and about 20-30 psi at idle. Late model hydraulic motors<br />

see only about 60 psi in normal operation and have pressure at idle<br />

of about 10-15 psi, so don't be alarmed.<br />

OEM factory pan as provided for the Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3,'75-early<br />

'99. Includes pan gasket and drain plug.<br />

Hybrid oil pan kit for Mk4 Golf, Jetta & Beetle 2.0L & TDI engines.<br />

Replaces the all aluminum die cast oil pan with a two-piece<br />

aluminum/steel assembly. Use this to replace an oil pan with<br />

stripped out drain plug threads or broken due to impact. Note that<br />

some 2004 vechicles may already have this pan design. We include<br />

a tube of #198.183 gasket sealer with this product.<br />

Same as the #115 102 oil pan but for the Mk4 Golf, Jetta & Beetle<br />

1.8T engine.<br />

115 110 BAFFLED OIL PAN with WINDAGE TRAY<br />

We start with a new OEM VW 4.7 quart oil pan and add “trap door”<br />

baffling with an integrated windage tray to make the ultimate oil pan.<br />

Provides awesome oil control when you play “Hank the handler” as<br />

well as keeping the oil off the crankshaft. Yellow zinc plated with pan<br />

gasket and drain plug provided. Fits Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3, '75-early<br />

'99.<br />

115 115 OIL BAFFLE (8V HEADS - TOP END)<br />

This is the heat resistant plastic baffle developed by VW for the Mk1,<br />

Mk2 & Mk3 cars equipped with hydraulic valve lifters. It helps<br />

prevent oil loss to the breather (which ends up in the air filter<br />

element). It even helps prevent the valve cover gasket from leaking<br />

by preventing direct oil splash on it. Can be used in solid lifter heads<br />

as well.<br />

115 120 OIL BAFFLE (CRANKCASE)<br />

Fits std. 4.7L pans with '83 and newer oil pumps. You must have<br />

the oil pump with the removable oil pick-up pipe in order to use this<br />

baffle/windage tray. Most of the benefits of an expensive oil pan for<br />

around $20.00! For Mk1, Mk2 & '96 up Mk3.<br />

OEM steel windage tray. Comes with molded on rubber gasket. Not<br />

for use with #115 120 oil baffle. Fits Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3, '75-early '99.<br />

115 130 BREATHER HOSE - TOWER TO VALVE COVER (Mk3 2.0L '93-early '99)<br />

115 205 OIL PUMP 8V (30mm GEAR)<br />

Oil pumps tend to last a long time and seldom give trouble. However,<br />

If you encounter problems with the oil pressure relief valve (which<br />

cause oil filters to blow if it sticks shut) or if the clearances get<br />

excessive, replace it with a quality-made pump. This is a OEM<br />

quality unit. Fits all 8V models from '75-'87 with solid lifters. We<br />

recommend the 36mm pump for Hyd. lifter engines.<br />

115 206 OIL PUMP 8V (36mm GEAR)<br />

OEM pump used in the "ABA" 2.0L 8V engines. It helps to cure<br />

“noisy lifter” problems in the '85-'92 models. The largest pump<br />

available for the 8V engine. Gear length is 36mm. Std. 1.8L is<br />

30mm. Not recommended for solid lifter engines.<br />

115 208 OIL PUMP 16V (36mm GEAR)<br />

OEM pump used in the 2.0L 16V engine. Recommended for the<br />

1.8L 16V engine by reusing the 1.8L pickup tube or using the thinker<br />

2.0L pan gasket or the 115 125 baffle. Higher volume & pressure<br />

than 30mm pump.<br />

115 209 OIL PUMP VR6 12V & 2.8L-3.2L 24V<br />

OEM pump.<br />

116 100 FACTORY WATERCOOLED OIL COOLER<br />

up to 2005 tranverse engines.<br />

117 100 OEM QUALITY OIL FILTER (CORRADO G60 & '93up Mk3 2.0L)<br />

Can be fitted to earlier models. Genuine VW filter with hex nut for<br />

easy removal. Top quality European made filter with anti-drain back<br />

valve. Helps prevent “dry” starts.<br />

117 102 OEM QUALITY OIL FILTER (12V VR6 '92-'95)<br />

German made replacement element for the '92-'95 VR6.<br />
