1. On 1 June XXXX, you were scheduled for promotion to the<br />
grade of captain.<br />
2. Prior to the release of the promotion authority, you<br />
received nonjudicial punishment for disobeying a lawful order<br />
and fraternization as stated in enclosure (1).<br />
3. After careful consideration of the information, your<br />
promotion has been delayed. This action is being taken under<br />
the provisions of the references.<br />
4. You are entitled to submit matters for consideration in<br />
response to the promotion delay.<br />
5. Enclosure (2) is an acknowledgment of receipt. Please note<br />
your decision and return this acknowledgment upon your receipt<br />
of this letter. Enclosure (2) and any statements you wish to<br />
submit should be addressed, via your chain of command, to the<br />
Commandant of the <strong>Marine</strong> <strong>Corps</strong> (JAM), <strong>Headquarters</strong>, U.S. <strong>Marine</strong><br />
<strong>Corps</strong>, 3000 <strong>Marine</strong> <strong>Corps</strong> Pentagon, Washington, DC 20350-3000.<br />
