Programming for Families with<br />
Young Children<br />
* ECFE believes that parents are the first and most<br />
important teachers of their children.<br />
* It is a program for all parents in <strong>District</strong> 206 who<br />
have children ages birth to kindergarten entrance.<br />
* Classes are designed to give you and your child a<br />
special time together.<br />
* ECFE provides a positive atmosphere for parents<br />
and children to learn and grow.<br />
* There are morning, afternoon and evening classes.<br />
* There is sibling care for the daytime classes for<br />
children not in class with you.<br />
(No sibling care is provided in the evening)<br />
*Parent/child time with planned<br />
activities and circle time to sing and do<br />
finger plays.<br />
*Parent education and group discussion<br />
with a Parent Educator.<br />
*Children’s activities with an <strong>Early</strong><br />
<strong>Childhood</strong> Teacher while parents are<br />
in group.<br />
