Summer BBQ
From 3 Sep Barbecue fans will be thrilled with the launch of Beard To Tail in
trendy Shoreditch this month. It’s brought to you by the team behind the cocktail
bar Callooh Callay (p. 122). As its name suggests, this eatery will be offering
meat galore, with the emphasis on grilled and slow-cooked dishes. These include
the unforgettable ‘Rumpie-Pumpie’, which consists of slow-roasted Old Spot pork
rump, sage and wild garlic crust with homemade Bramley apple sauce. There will
also be a cool drinks list, which focuses on beers and bourbons, and includes an
Andy Warhol cocktail (pictured), served in a Campbell’s soup tin of the kind made
famous by the late, great American pop artist in the 1960s.
