About us
Willen Hospice provides complex and individual care to
terminally ill adults in our community and support to their
families and friends. Our care is free to our patients and
provided by a highly skilled team of professionals, not only
in the Hospice itself, but increasingly our care takes place in
peoples’ own homes.
Why fundraise for us
We only get a quarter of our funding from the NHS and
need to raise over £3 million this year to provide our
services. We need the constant support of the local
community to provide us with the financial stability to
ensure that we are ‘always there to care’.

Events 2011
30th Anniversary Ball
Friday 20th May - Doubletree by Hilton, Stadium MK
A sophisticated pearl and underwater themed evening of
celebration. Join us for this black tie event, with 4 course
dinner, live music, auction and more.
Walk for Willen (& Summer Garden Party)
Sunday 5th June - Willen Hospice
Take part in our big family sponsored walk around Willen
Lake and then join us back in The Hospice’s beautiful
grounds, where you will find our Garden Party in full swing.

Don’t fancy the trip to Ascot Then come and enjoy Ladies’
Day with us. Dress to impress and watch the winners come
in with our on-screen racing.
Dragon Boat Race

This is a fantastic team building day. No previous experience
required - just plenty of team spirit. Willen Hospice is the
preferred charity for the Dragon Boat Race 2011, so contact

MK Midnight Moo 2011

Friday 9th September - Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands
Golf Club
Annual golf tournament followed by dinner at this
prestigious golf course. Get the guys and girls together and
enter a team for a great day of golf and more.
Zip Slide
Sunday 25th September
Fancy zip sliding down Xscape, one of the most iconic
buildings in the city Enjoy this great little zip with a
25m launch from a hatch on the outside of the building,
travelling 160m across the area to the front of the building.
Lights of Love
Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th December - Willen Hospice
Please join us in remembering loved ones who will not
be with us this Christmas at our Lights of Love Services.

30 Ways for Willen
Help us raise more in our 30th year. Can you do 30 different
things to fundraise for us throughout the year Why
not hold a cake sale, a mufti day, or organise a fete, for
example. Big or small ideas - they all count! We’ll send you
a pack with lots of ideas to get you started.
