ART WALKS<br />
Twenty-five years ago, founding Portland Art Dealers Association members initiated First Thursday, a monthly art<br />
reception in which galleries open new exhibitions of works by painters, print makers, sculptors, photographers and<br />
glass artists, with extended gallery hours and that month’s artists in attendance. It has since become the Rose City’s<br />
most vibrant and active visual arts event, now coupled with the increasingly popular First Friday art walk.<br />
First Thursday/Portland<br />
Downtown, the Pearl District, Northwest Portland, Old Town/<br />
Chinatown. First Thursday of every month, generally 6 to 9 pm.<br />

First Friday/Portland<br />
Throughout Portland’s central eastside. First Fridays,<br />
6 to 9 pm, some spaces open much later.<br />
Last Thursday/Portland<br />
Alberta Arts District, on Northeast Alberta Street from NE<br />
10th to NE 30th avenues. Last Thursday of every month, yearround,<br />
from 5 or 6 to 9 or 10 pm; street closures from 7 to 10<br />
pm. The nonprofit Art on Alberta produces a walking guide to<br />
each month’s openings.<br />
First Friday/Bend<br />
View sensational local and national art at dozens of downtown<br />
Bend businesses on the first Friday of every month.<br />
Shops are matched with artists and stay open late. Many<br />
businesses will serve food and wine as they welcome you in<br />
to enjoy their space and this wonderful evening.<br />
First Friday/Eugene<br />
Lane Arts Council presents First Friday ArtWalk each month<br />

First Friday/Ashland<br />
The Ashland Gallery Association hosts an art walk on the<br />
“First Friday” of each month. Patrons have an opportunity to<br />
meet the artists, view demonstrations and enjoy browsing in<br />
a gallery atmosphere that often includes music and refreshments.<br />
