An early morning July 5th fire
completely destroyed the
clubhouse at Emerald Lake
Golf Club. Still under investigation,
the cause of the blaze appears to
have been kitchen-related or possibly
related to fireworks being use in the
Emerald Lake subdivision.
While authorities do their job
determing the cause of the fire, the
staff at Emerald Lake Golf Club is
back at work. None of the golf
holes were affected by the fire, and
the course is open for business. A
temporary trailer will serve as the
pro shop until
the clubhouse
is rebuilt within
the next
12-months.
General
Manager Matt
Pennell assures
the Carolina
Golf Journal that
you will still
enjoy your
round of golf at Emerald Lake
with the course, practice range and
putting green in excellent condition.
