not play because several team<br />
members were not with us at<br />
the game. We also missed more<br />

lot of heart and fought hard for<br />
the win. I was excited to see the<br />
girls come together and encourage<br />
the best from one another.<br />
The girls passed the ball well<br />
tonight and really moved around<br />
the court to get to the ball. This<br />
was a nice win and a great way<br />
to end their season.”<br />

that will help them as they move<br />
to the next level. I am proud<br />
of these girls and the way they<br />
came together to finish the seaon<br />
much stronger than they<br />

throughout each game but<br />
missed key opportunities to finsh<br />
with a win,” said Bridgeport<br />
oach Shelly Arrington. “With<br />
ard work and continuous desire<br />
o improve the girls will be very<br />
uccessful volleyball players.”<br />

“The Sissies played three outstanding<br />
games,” said Bridgeport<br />
coach Shelly Arrington.<br />
“They worked well together,<br />
using a lot of three-hit combinations.<br />
With a lot of enthusiasm<br />
and drive, the Sissies finished<br />
the match with a win. The girls<br />
had a good season. There are<br />
many talented athletes on this<br />
team, and I believe each will<br />
have a great volleyball career.”<br />

Junior Varsity<br />
The Decatur Lady Eagles junior<br />
varsity cross country team<br />
won the district title Oct. 28.<br />
Decatur took the top five spots<br />
in the race, scoring 15 points.<br />
Bridgeport was second with 47<br />
points.<br />

won the race in 13:38. Whitney<br />
Vrba was second in 13:44.<br />

Nichole Neighbors came in third<br />
in 13:30. Alex Raasch finished<br />
fourth in 14:10, and Marissa<br />
Martinez was fifth 14:12.<br />
“The rest of the team did an<br />
outstanding job of pushing back<br />
the competition,” said Decatur<br />
coach Vinessa Archer. “We had<br />
13 girls across the finish before<br />
the second-place team, Burkburnett,<br />
got its runner in. It wasn’t<br />
too surprising as this team has<br />
been very consistent and teamoriented<br />
all season. They ran<br />
with purpose and would not be<br />
