STAMPS CANCELED<br />
Enter in Columns 1. 3. and 5 the total value of stamps canceled each<br />
day (exclusive of internal revenue stamps, special delivery stamps, and<br />
ordinary stamps used in lieu thereof). Enter in Columns 2, 4, and 6<br />
the amount of the increased postage which represents the War Tax<br />
Revenue and is the difference between the actual face value of stamps<br />
canceled and the postage required prior to the passage of the War Tax<br />
Revenue Law. The record of stamps canceled must be made each<br />
day before closing your oiliest, and you will be held strictly responsible<br />
for its correctness. Verification will be made from time to time by tho<br />
central accounting postmaster and post office inspectors. FALSIFICATION<br />
