NEW JERSEY EXPRESS COMPANY Joe McDonough The only reference I have seen to the New Jersey Express Company was in NJPH, number 10, November 1974. The examples shown here are both in dark blue on orange envelopes, two different designs and two different sizes. The corner indicia *re embossed after the envelope was manufactures as the embossing shows on the reverse. Mention should be made of Robson Lowe's article 'The United States Eastern Express Companies," in The Philatelist, Vo. 45, no. 6, January 1979, where the New Jersey Express Company is mentioned and one of the indicium is illustrated.
