EVOLUTION OF GLASS TECHNOLOGY
At Byerly Boards we pride ourselves on pressing the limits of fiberglass technology and board
construction. Our “Evolution of Glass Technology” refers to the different internal construction
methods we use throughout the line. These technologies and construction methods took years
of development and testing to ensure they were perfect before they were introduced.
CARBON ENERGY RING CONSTRUCTION
This construction incorporates Carbon and Kevlar stands into a
360 degree rope perimeter. These two elements add strength, explosive
pop and responsiveness.
DOUBLE LAP CONSTRUCTION
This construction utilizes the additional strength created when the
top and bottom fiberglass sheets overlap one another at the perimeter
of the board. Once fused, the overlapped glass creates a
stronger, more durable sidewall. The Double Lap is exclusive to
Byerly boards and the first level of fiberglass technology.

CARBON COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTION
Carbon Composite Stringer construction is Scott Bouchard’s most
advanced addition to the line. This industry exclusive construction
utilizes the strength and lightweight properties of woven Carbon
by fully wrapping two core segments. These stringers mirror the
rocker line creating more energy and rebound than traditional
boards. This construction offers true multi-flex zones providing
soft tip and tail flex and a preloaded zone between your boots for
explosive pop. Due to their tip to tail configuration, the Carbon
Composite Stringers also fuse the top and bottom laminates in
the most vital area, the rocker line creating the most durable and
technical construction available today.
FIBERGLASS ROPE INLAYS
This ultra strong material in found in the sidewalls of the Buck
series. Once pressed the fiberglass perimeter fuses with the deck
and base fiberglass to create a durable edge with no additional
weight.

CROSS-LINK FIBERGLASS I-BEAM CONSTRUCTION
Cross Link construction is the culmination of years of testing and
design. It is the most advanced form of fiberglass technology to
date. This innovative construction method utilizes the strength
provided by linking the top and bottom laminates through woven fiberglass
stringers. These stringers are threaded through reliefs in
the core allowing them to make contact with both the top and base
fiberglass laminates. When the board is laid up the resin fuses with
the laminates to form a singular fiberglass structure.
AEROCORE
This aerospace grade layer of material is inlayed into the deck of
the AR-1 to create a stronger more responsive feel by transferring
a rider’s movements to the edges of the board quicker. It also
provides a denser foundation for additional strength and durability.
STRATA TRACK MOUNTING SYSTEM
This revolutionary mounting system allows a rider to choose any
point on the Strata’s 13-inch axis to secure their boot, allowing for
the ultimate micro stance adjustment and customized set-ups.
