available. The tiny omni-directional mic measures just 3.3mm
across and is designed to operate in harsh live conditions.

past the microphone;

Innovative technology company
HME was present at the 2008
MTV Video Music Awards, where
it supplied wireless intercom
systems to the primary stage
managers across three locations
at Paramount Studios, spanning
a total area of approximately five
acres. The twelve HME PRO850
systems involved overcame the

fixed format I/O units and the

units included a new
8-SDI input de-embed I/O, which

eight HD/SD streams

Visions, the UK’s largest independent Outside Broadcast facilities
company, has received the first batch of
DK-Technologies’ award winning PT0760M
Multi-channel Video Waveform Monitors.
Six units were delivered ahead of the official
August release date for use in the coverage
of Wimbledon 2008. The units, serial numbered one to six, proved
a significant success with Visions, and within hours of Nadal’s
Wimbledon victory, these same six units were prepared for
shipping to Beijing, for use in the NBC’s coverage of the Olympics.
Continuing this success, DK-Technologies have supplied four of
its MSD600M++ audio meters, loaded with DK’s new StarFish
surround sound display, to sound design studio Wave.

Research-driven audio technology company iZotope are now
shipping their ANR-B Adaptive Real-time Noise Reduction Unit,
bringing the company’s renowned audio algorithm for adaptive
noise reduction to a dedicated hardware unit for use in real-time
broadcast applications. American public broadcasting producer
WGBH Boston, commented, “Our reporters and guests are often
interviewed in war zones and some of the most remote locations
