Pre-racing activities<br />

<strong>British</strong> Equestrian Federation Demonstrations (Old Paddock Lawns)<br />

Demonstrations from some of the leading riders and horsemen in their field, including Reining,<br />

Carriage Driving, Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage (subject to the state of the ground in<br />

the demonstration area), featuring some of the development riders from the BEF team and<br />

commentary from leading performers and coaches.<br />

Clare Balding Kids Q&A Session (Parade Ring) and Book Signing (Grandstand)<br />

Children are invited to bring their parents and participate from inside the Parade Ring and ask<br />

Clare almost anything – her favourite pet, which horse she most admires or even her favourite<br />

type of biscuit! Clare will then sign copies of her book ‘My Animals and Other Family’ in the<br />

Grandstand for a short while afterwards.<br />

Parade of Team GB Olympians and Paralympians (Parade Ring)<br />

Team GB medal winners, including Peter Charles and Nick Skelton (Show Jumping), Carl<br />

Hester and Charlotte Dujardin (Dressage), Tina Cook, William Fox-Pitt, Zara Phillips and Nicola<br />

Wilson (Three-<strong>Day</strong> Eventing), Natasha Baker, Sophie Wells, Deborah Criddle and Sophie<br />

Christiansen (Paralympic Dressage) will appear in the Parade Ring before racing.<br />

Pre-Racing Tipster Panel (Parade Ring)<br />

Some of the best judges in racing will preview the card for the benefit of racegoers.<br />

Jockey Master Class (‘Jockey School’ – Old Paddock Lawns)<br />

Former Champion Jockey, Kevin Darley, will put the lucky winner of ‘Jockey School’ through<br />

their paces on a mechanical horse, as well as demonstrations from some of the apprentice<br />

jockeys riding in the last race.<br />

Darley<br />

Tickets for the signing, which will take place at the east end of the Parade Ring, are available to<br />

the first 100 racegoers to register interest.<br />
