Recognising and Recording Progress
and Achievements
Although some of the courses we offer have a leisure focus, we should always
be clear that learning is at the heart of the activity. To ensure we are meeting
the needs of the individuals and groups, Adult Education follows RARPA
principles.
RARPA is an approach used for quality improvement, to increase recognition of
learner achievement and record the distance travelled. The RARPA approach is a
flexible learner-centred approach which enables learners to take charge of their
learning.
Learners will need to establish a starting point, set learning goals with assistance
from the tutor and review overall progress and achievements.
