program. IECA webinars are 60- to 90-
minute online training sessions that you
can attend in your office, at home, or
anywhere in the world where you have
access to a computer with a high-speed
Internet connection and a phone.
“It provides real-time interaction between
you and your instructor, complete
with visual presentations, as in a classroom,”
says Kim Kline, IECA’s technical
resources director. “Even though you
may be thousands of miles apart, you
and your instructor can ask questions
and get responses using the phone or instant
online chat feature. You can save
thousands of dollars in travel time and
expenses and still maintain the interpersonal
contact so important to learning.”
Most are based on the full-day training
courses offered at IECA’s annual
international Environmental Connection
conference. They are presented in
a series of once-a-week sessions and include
the review for the Certified Profes-
sional in Erosion and Sediment Control
(CPESC) exam.
You can attend all or individual sessions
to meet your specific needs. Also,
because these live sessions are recorded,
you can view them at your convenience.
For each hour of Webinar training,
you earn 1 CEU for meeting the Certified
Professional in Erosion and Sediment
Control (CPESC) requirements or
1 PDU to apply to your “IECA Trained”
designation.
